1. Savitribai Phule

2. Annapurna Mohan
Meet Annapurna Mohan, the government school teacher, who teaches class 3 students in Panchayat Union Primary School Kandhadu, Tamil Nadu. She works at English medium school and teaches four subjects in English except for Tamil.
She had only two options in front of her eyes-- either choose teaching as a profession or enjoy the position of a manager in a good corporate company. She chose to provide quality education to kids."When I joined the school, the state of the students was not good as they couldn't even speak good English. By the time of five years, I really started knowing the real needs of the students and analysed their performance," Mohan said.
3. keshav saran
keshav saran's noble initiative which kicked off with holding classes at a village 'chaupal' in rampur led to the establishment of an intermediate college with a strength of 1,320 students..
He started off with five or six children but the word of mouth popularised the classes and within a span of a few months, the strength of his class grew to 150
Encouraged by the response, he developed the 'chaupal' classes into a formal school, built on his 4 acres of agricultural land in 1975 which also received a junior high school recognition
His son and daughter, both qualified teachers, were also involved in the initiative. With 21 other teaching staff members, the school received recognition of an inter college in 2009
As a tribute to the long years of Saran's struggle and dedication, it was named Keshav Inter College
Currently, 1,320 students are enrolled in the school, including 670 girls

4. Alok Sagar
Former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan was once the student of ex-IIT Delhi professor Alok Sagar, who left his prestigious IIT job in 1982 to serve the tribal people of Madhya Pradesh.
Sagar has been working for the tribal people in Betul and Hoshangabad districts of Madhya Pradesh for the past 32 years.
The Professor single-handedly planted around 50,000 trees in the area and is serving these people through Shramik Adivasi Sangathan.
5. Imran Khan
Imran Khan, a Sanskrit teacher from a small town called Alwar in Rajasthan donated 52 educational apps to the HRD Ministry for free, contributing his part in Digital India and E-learning.
His apps get an astonishing 30 lakh downloads and four crore screen views every day.A timid man with undying determination started developing educational android apps for the students after a close encounter with the former district collector of Alwar, Ashutosh AT Pednekar.
Khan designed his first website gktalk.com in 2005. At that time, he had no clue what an application actually is but continued learning and launched his first app in 2012 'NCERT Learn Science' - for Class 9 students which got a great response from students in the state.This motivated Imran Khan to create more apps, especially in Hindi as there are abundant already available apps in English.
